Murphy addresses nursing shortage

We read with interest the article regarding the nursing shortag eaffecting our state. As nurses, we know firsthand the need for nurses. It is clear that Congressman Chris Murphy understands this problem andhow to tackle it.
No one hospital or one nursing program can solve this alone. That is why we are thankful to have a representative in Congress who isworking with the state’s university system, including our own Western Connecticut State University, to educate more nurses to serve ourcommunity and more nursing educators to train the next generation.
While our nation and state face a nursing crisis, we can be proud ofthe fact that we have a leader who knows what the Danbury region needsin terms of health-care programs, and how to fight for it at the federal level. Thank you, Chris Murphy, for your efforts.
