Waterbury Republican American
For the last few weeks, I have been following the Republican-American’s reporting on the Bush administration not allowing voter-registration drives at Veterans Affairs facilities. It’s a shame this issue has turned into such a big deal. Veterans should have every chance to exercise their right to vote, period.
Rep. Christopher S. Murphy, D-5th District, and some Connecticut officials have weighed in. Murphy has introduced legislation in Congress to fix this mess.
It’s too bad this problem doesn’t seem to be going away, but I am proud of our elected representative for his work on this issue. Murphy is doing what is right for our veterans.
